All in One Squarespace Pro Plugin for Google Chrome.

In this walkthrough video, Chris goes on every one of the features of the Pro Extension Tool and shows you how they work and how to use them. He also gives tips on how to utilize the plugin so you can work faster and the things you should avoid or remember.

Summary of the features and functions showed in this walkthrough:

Core Functions of the Plugin

1. Enable UI Tweaks

This function changes the interface, expanding the panels and adding shortcut menus for easier, faster and more convenient editing of your website. It also brings back the Gallery blocks on 7.1 which is still not available up to date.

2. Extended Editor

Adds an editing panel on the Markup block showing extended editing functions such as adding tables, formatting texts, etc.

3. Get Collection Data aka Create From Data

The most popular function of this plugin, this allows you to perfectly copy pages from one site to another. It also allows you to copy pages from Squarespace 7.0 to Squarespace 7.1 (You must enable Extended Editor to do this though).

So handy, imagine copying 100 blog posts from 1 site to another. In the video, Chris copied at least 50 blogs which he finished copying in about 2 minutes using this function.

4. Copy Data / Clear Data

An auxiliary of the Get Collection Data function, this copies or clears data saved in the Extension so you can keep on copying other pages without closing or refreshing the browser.

5. Export JSON

Just like the Copy Data function, this copies pages. However, it exports the saved data as a JSON file instead of saving it on the browser

6. Import JSON

Uploads pages exported as JSON files so you can copy and use those pages. If you’re wondering what’s the use of these functions that appears redundant, Chris shows you how he uses Export / Import JSON functions in the video.

7. Get Injections

Copies all the codes in the Injections field (CSS, javascript, etc.) so you can use it in other pages.

Extended Features of the Plugin

1. Enable File Manager - a one click (Ctrl+F) shortcut to the file manager.

2. Enable Content Presets - allows you to save your existing block layouts and quickly access them when needed. It also allows you to share your preset so others can use it and vice versa.

3. Enable Page Injections - lets you see if a code injection is used on a page.

4. Code Editor Search - (Chris’ favorite extended feature) this allows you to easily find a code your looking by filtering all your code or custom CSS injections.

5. Enable Nav Search - lets you quick search for pages you’re looking for by filtering the Navigation panel.

6. Enable Nav Toggle - allows you to easily navigate the Navigation panel by sorting folders on your site

As Chris said in the video, there’s no need to be intimidated by this Squarespace plugin. Hope this simplified the SquareWebsites Pro Extension for you and boosted your confidence to use it.
